• Come up with a topic.
• What are alternative topics/variations of your topic?
• 1. Who are the users?
• Forced to use it by the organization or opt in?
• Are the users computer novices or expert users?
• Is the system frequently used or rarely used?
• 2. What are they doing?
• What are they trying to accomplish/do?
• How might we help?
• Cognitive issues:
• Who in the human would inhibit your system?
• Other activities that are simultaneous with using your system.
• Keep the memory (short-term projects).
• Conceptual models.
